Youngstown, Ohio is a city of around 73,000 spread about an area of about 34 square miles. It is the seat of Mahoning County and is 10 miles west of Pennsylvania. During late spring and early summer, the region can see violent thunderstorms with severe thunder and lightning storms, torrential rain, hail, and an occasional but rare tornado.
