Virginia Beach AUTO INSURANCE (VA)

Virginia Beach is located on the Atlantic coast. It is Virginia’s most populous city and is found in America’s First Region. The city is best known for its beaches, resorts, oceanfront restaurants and sporting events, such as beach soccer and surfing. Virginia Beach’s nearly half a million residents are spread out over the city’s 248.3 square miles of land.

The city enjoys warm weather year-round with fairly consistent rainfall. Virginia Beach is situated in a location where is not reached by storms operating at higher latitudes and is out of the way of hurricanes and other major tropical storms farther south. Hurricane Isabel in 2003 is the only known exception.

Crime rates in Virginia Beach are below the national averages for nearly every category, and the city was rated the safest in the United States in 2004.

While the city’s economy is mainly centered on tourism, the military and agribusiness sectors are also strong, with a large retail industry as well. Millions of travelers make their way to Virginia Beach every year for the beaches, dining and entertainment, as well as a wide variety of historical and cultural sites, festivals, and parks.
