Millions of travelers make their way to Virginia Beach every year for the beaches, dining and entertainment, as well as a wide variety of historical and cultural sites, festivals, and parks.

Transportation

Major Highways
To approach the city from the west, visitors can use Interstate 64, US-460, and US-58. From north or south, I-85, I-95, US-13, and US-17 are available, which cross I-64 and circle the Hampton Roads region then linking with Route 44 (Virginia Beach-Norfolk Expressway). Virginia's eastern shore can be reached via Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel links Hampton Roads with Newport News and Hampton. The Merrimac-Monitor Memorial Bridge Tunnel connects the south side of Virginia City with the peninsula.
