Tulsa’s crime rates are about double the national average. The most prevalent crimes are property crimes, namely motor vehicle theft, burglary, and larceny but violent offenses also far surpass national averages. The Tulsa Police Department is seeking to address and combat crime more effectively.

| Tulsa has a mass transit system, Tulsa Transit, is operated by Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority, which operates buses and has routes to many businesses, shopping, and other attractions.There are also a number of trackless trolleys visitors can use as well as a Rideshare service which pairs people with others who drive similar routes. |
