Pontiac, Michigan is a city of around 66,000 spread about an area of about 20 square miles. It is the seat of Oakland County and is considered a satellite city of Detroit. During late spring and early summer, the region can see violent thunderstorms with severe thunder and lightning storms, torrential rain, hail, and an occasional but rare tornado.
