Orem, Utah is a city of around 93,000 spread about an area of about 18 square miles. It is the located in Utah County and is the sixth-largest city in the state. Orem calls itself “Family City USA” and is indeed considered one of the top-five places to raise a family in the nation.

Roads leading into and out of the area include Interstate 15 (Veterans Memorial Highway), US Highway 89 (State Street), State Route 265 (West University Parkway), and SR-52 (West 800N). Orem generally experiences little humidity and precipitation. Summer temperatures are often quite hot and dry while winters are mildly and relatively wet though precipitation is still generally scarce. El Nino winters bring considerably cooler temperatures and more precipitation to Utah. Powerful storms often cause mudslides and significant property damage.
