Mesquite, Texas is a city of about 137,000 located in Dallas County and is home to the Mesquite Championship Rodeo. Mesquite residents are spread out over an area of around 43 square miles. The city’s economy is helped in large by a large United Parcel Service (UPS) distribution center and Dallas Regional Center as well as the City of Mesquite, which are the area’s three largest employers.

The city is served by several notable freeways including Interstate 20, I-30, and I635, and also US Highway 80 and State Highway 352.
