Mesa AUTO INSURANCE (AZ)
Surrounded by the Sonoran Desert in the Valley of Sun, Mesa’s 125 square miles of land are home to nearly half a million people. The city is the third largest in Arizona and is a popular destination for visitors seeking a modern urban desert retreat with time-honored traditions and heritage.
Mesa enjoys warm weather year round with an average 320 days of sunshine per year. It is home to numerous unique desert flora and fauna and despite its dry desert climate the city has six lakes and two rivers. The Superstition Mountain range lies to the east, allowing citizens and visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor sports. Historically, Mesa has seen more tornados than any other city in Arizona, but levels are still below national averages.
Tourists come to Mesa for its historical museums and archeological sites, water parks, golf, and upscale shopping and dining. The city is also home to the largest arts and cultural complex in the American Southwest. Mesa’s arid, warm climate makes it a top-flight locale for the aeronautical industries from manufacturing to education. A great deal of military research and development, as well as pilot education and training, is conducted in the city. Manufacturing is also a thriving industry in Mesa.
Crime in Mesa is above the national average in almost all categories, but has improved every year for the past decade. Property crimes are the most prevalent with theft, namely auto theft, and burglary numbers consistently far above national averages. Violent crimes, however, are comparatively low.
