Killeen, Texas is a city of around 120,000 spread about an area of about 88 square miles. It is the located in Bell County and is considered the principal city of the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood Metropolitan area. Killeen can sometimes experience strong violent storms with tornadoes along with the effects of the occasional remnants of hurricanes which blow in from the Gulf.
