Frisco, Texas is a city of around 102,000 spread about an area of about 70 square miles. It is the located in Collin and Denton Counties and was the fastest growing city from 2000-2009. Frisco is a largely affluent community and thus has an economy largely driven by retail properties and several major restaurant chains.

Frisco has a humid subtropical climate as such the city is accustomed to mild winters and hot humid summers. Precipitation is fairly evenly spread throughout the year with the wettest months being in winter and early summer. During late spring and early summer, the region can see violent thunderstorms with severe thunder and lightning storms, torrential rain, hail, and tornadoes.
