Columbus AUTO INSURANCE (OH)
Located in the Midwest, Columbus is the capital and largest city in the state of Ohio and the fourth largest city in the region. In the center of the most populated area of the country, Columbus is within 500 miles of half of the population of the country.
While Columbus is overwhelmingly flat, its location along the Scioto and Olentangy rivers provides some variety to the state’s topography. The humid continental climate creates hot, muggy summers, and cold, dry winters characteristic of the region. Tornados are a possibility, particularly during the spring and summer months. Columbus also experiences floods, blizzards, and severe thunderstorms.
The city has a diverse economy and as an emerging global city, is home to the world’s largest private R&D foundation, clearinghouse of chemical information, comprehensive public system of higher education, and cartoon collection, as well as the world’s fastest fuel cell electric vehicle.
Columbus is consistently ranked as the top city in the country for technology, fashion, living, and raising a family and among the top for literacy and education. Its numerous cultural and historical attractions as well as centers for the performing arts, fairs and festivals, sporting events (particularly those associated with the Ohio State University) and museums, bring many international and domestic tourists to the city each year.
The city is divided into numerous neighborhoods, often along cultural lines including North Bank Park, and Italian, Victorian, and German Villages. Crime rates are generally low.
