Chicago AUTO INSURANCE (IL)

Chicago is the largest city in the Midwest United States, and the country’s third largest city. Located in the northeastern corner of Illinois, Chicago sits at the southwestern tip of Lake Michigan and is divided by the Chicago River. These bodies of water tend to moderate the climate in Chicago, making the waterfront areas warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

Businesses, particularly financial, thrive in Chicago, which has been named one of the world’s top ten Global Financial Centers. As home to the second busiest airport in the world, it is also a major hub for transportation and infrastructure.  The central business district in Chicago is known as “The Loop,” linking the city’s four neighborhoods: Downtown and the Near North, Near South, and Near West Sides.

Chicago is known for its rich diversity and rising crime rates are largely attributed to clashes occurring along ethnic, racial, cultural, community, and socio-economic lines. Still, action is being taken, and the city has received federal funding to hire more police officers as well as to develop and purchase more advanced crime-fighting technology.

Chicago is known for a distinct culture of sports, tourist attractions, and food, namely its famous pizza and hot dogs, which attract nearly fifty million domestic and international travelers every year.
